Concepting is a process of refinement, Iv’e
learned to pull all the photos, treatment ideas,
things from social media and bring it all
together to create categories of ideas.
For me that makes it easier to form
concepts with
with a clear direction.
For this concept I wanted to incorporate
the ticker board at airports that tell
arrivals and departures.
I think thats a fun part of travel.
And the second version is another element that I like about travel the boarding pass.
Sometimes I’ll find something in social media that I think has a
good execution and use that to help an idea get started.
The NBA Magic poster I thought has a really nice balance
and the scale of the elements in the collage is just right.
Taking that to the elements within backcounty’s brand voice
I found had a lot of options. It became a good
execution for a semi annual sale.
